Deutsche Lufthansa AG (ISIN: DE0008232125) is the largest airline in Europe by number of passengers carried (second is Air France – KLM), and the German national airline. The company name is derived from Luft (the German word meaning “air”), and Hansa (the Hanseatic League, the most powerful medieval trading group).
