Suzuki is a Japanese multinational company best known as a manufacturer of cars and motorcycles. It is headquartered in Hamamatsu. Initially, the company has several products, including looms and weapons. In 1937 they produced a small car based on the Austin Seven. Owners of the company was Michio Suzuki, who had founded it in 1909, and his son Shunzo Suzuki, the family had taken to Japanese tradition.
In 1951 the first motorcycle built basically a bicycle with auxiliary engine, the “Power Free”, then under the brand name SJK (Suzuki Jidosha Kogyo). The displacement of this model was 36 cc. As more Suzuki motorcycles arrived, these were initially two-stroke models in the fifties under the brand name Colleda were sold, but since 1975 it has switched to four-stroke engines.
Suzuki makes motorcycles in all categories and for almost all branches of motorsport. Also building Suzuki outboard motors, bicycles, boats and even prefab homes. The brand has factories in Japan, Malaysia, Taiwan, Indonesia, the Philippines, Mozambique, Nigeria and Hungary.
