The SSV Ulm 1846 (officially: swimming and sports club Ulm 1846 eV) is a sports club in the Swabian town of Ulm. He is the second largest with 9,500 members of sports clubs in Baden-Wuerttemberg. The club colors of the vernacular, “the sparrow” clubs mentioned are black and white, which also corresponds to the colors of the city of Ulm.
Belonged to the club was known primarily for his existing and 2009 football department, the first team in the 1999/2000 season in the Bundesliga.
The football division was spun off from the main club in 2009 and since then as a new independent club SSV Ulm 1846 football. In addition to the footballers in the past also played basketball and volleyball ladies gentlemen of the club in each league.
