In 2003, Microsoft released Windows Server 2003, an update of the server operating system that incorporated many of the features of Windows XP with improved server components such as the Volume Shadow Copy Restore, Internet Information Services 6, 802.1X, and administration tools. This operating system shared the same code name for XP (“Whistler”), and then, even many of the same features like native support for Bitmap integrated GUI.
