Usually called the Canadian flag or Maple Leaf, and l’Unifolié (French for “single leaf”), is a red flag with a white color in its center, featuring a red maple leaf special features.
On its use in 1965 is regarded as the first time an official national flag to replace the flag of the United Kingdom.
Flag previously known as the “Canadian Red Ensign” has been use since the 1890s and was formalized by an Order-in-Council in 1945 to be used at any place or event that needs to fly a Canadian flag.
