Associazione Sportiva Andria BAT was founded in 1971, but not under the present name, but under the name Fidelis Andria. This name remained at the club 34 years, before he became reestablished due to financial problems and disbanded shortly after as AS Andria BAT.
After the founding of the Association of Fidelis Andria Italian football association in the highest regional league in the Bari region was classified. There they played five years before 1976, the rise in the Prima Categoria, then the sixth-highest division in Italian football, succeeded. However, the club had been relegated again two years later.
Same for the following season they were again second in the Second Categories and rose again. This time has established itself in the Prima Categories Fidelis Andria and abolished in 1984, even the rise in the Serie C2. After five years in the fourth division managed the club made it into the Serie C1, the present Fourth League Division, so the third division.
Here, too, reached Fidelis Andria good results and we got just two years later, in 1992, for the first time in the B series.
In the first season was the 16th club and the thwarted only down to luck, as it met SPAL Ferrara, Bologna FC, Taranto Sport and Ternana Calcio. In the following season even managed a ninth place. Two years later, however, had to descend again from Fidelis Andria of Serie B after the club was fourth last table. In the very next year, but the resurgence was achieved with a first place in the Serie C1 before the AC Ancona, who rose as well.
It followed the descent, however, immediately after just one year. Since then the club could not arise again in the second-highest Italian league and still plays in the Lega Pro Prima Divisione, while the team from Andria also occasionally found in the Lega Pro Seconded Divisione or the Serie C2.
In 2009, almost back to the jump would be successful in the second division, having had the AS Andria BAT playoff games in which the Second to Fifth any Lega Pro Prima participates Divisione relay reached. There, the association failed due to Gela Calcio.
