The York City Football Club is a football club based in York, England. After being relegated from the Football League at the end of 2003/04 season, the York City lost the play-off against Morecambe in 2006/2007, and 2007/2008 he lost the final of the FA Cup Both of these games have been lost to 2-1.
The club has also played an important role in helping to advance the careers of some players in recent years, especially Clayton Donaldson and Martyn Woolford. The club currently plays in the Bootham Crescent, which in recent years has been called the Kit Kat Crescent after the club offered the naming rights to Nestle.
However the club is now proceeding with a plan to build a new stadium by 2015. York City is now owned by JM Packaging Ltd (75%) and the York City Supporters’ Trust (25%).
