FC Volendam is a Dutch football club from Volendam; the club was established on 1 June 1977 as a division of RKSV Volendam (established on 1 June 1920).
The costume consists of an orange shirt and black pants, so the club called “The other Orange mentioned. Home games are played in the former Veronica Stadium. Since 2002, the stadium is called the Kras Stadium.
Until World War II played Volendam in the Catholic Football Association. It was the club in both 1935 as 1938 overall champion. After the war the club continued in the KNVB league.
In 1955 followed the entry into professional football. Characteristic of Volendam are many local players, with names like Toll, Sturgeon, Veerman and Jonk and the many promotions and demotions to and from the league (nine promotions and demotions as much).
It gave the club the nickname the back and forth. In 2009, Volendam relegated from the Premiership last. In season 2007/2008 Volendam was led by ex-professional footballer Stanley Menzo champion of the First Division, making it convenient in the 2008-2009 season in the Eredivisie.
Stanley Menzo served out his contract, which the French Eagle in 2008/2009 season trainer.
On May 10, 2009 Volendam relegated again to the first division, by a draw at Go Ahead Eagles (2-2) and the profit of Roda JC on Feyenoord (3-2) plays FC Volendam since the 2009/2010 season in the Jupiler League.
