FC Utrecht is a Dutch professional football club which plays in the Premier League. Home of the club, which was established in 1970 by a merger between USV Elinkwijk, DOS and Velox, the Stadium Galgenwaard. The selection is currently managed by Jan Wouters.
FC Utrecht was the first club outside the traditional ‘top 3′ (Ajax, PSV and Feyenoord) who has won the Johan Cruijff Shield (formerly Supercup) and like the same ‘top 3′ and Roda never relegated from the Premier League.
The latter can also be attributed to the fact that one of the younger FC Utrecht, football has been paid.
But one of the clubs which arose FC Utrecht, DOS, played from the beginning of professional football in the Premiership continuously until 1970, so the cathedral city of eredivisievoetbal never been denied.
FC Utrecht has a football academy. The kids are playing at the Sports Complex Zoudenbalch, where the first team to finish his training.
The youth academy of FC Utrecht is in the 2008-2009 season to the sixteen clubs in the Netherlands that have been evaluated with four stars, which is the highest rating.
FC Utrecht has also partnered with several amateur clubs from the region. This correlation, RAC officially called Talent Development Middle Netherlands, aims to improve the flow of talent from the environment to the youth of the club.
Among the amateur clubs, categorized by size in Category A, B and C include USV Elinkwijk SV and SV Argon and Wood.
