Football League Championship, or The Championship is the name of the second highest football league in England, under English Premier League. This league consists of 24 teams. At the end of the season, the top three teams promoted to the Premier League and three teams to the Football League One. The top two teams will be promoted automatically, while the third team selected by the match up between the third to the sixth rank.
This league formerly known as Division One. In the 2007-08 season, the winner was West Bromwich Albion with 81 points and is entitled up to the Premier League caste.
