It is widely agreed that Manchester City FC was founded under the name of St. Mark’s (West Gorton) in 1880 by Anna Connell and two beadles of the Church of St. Mark (St. Mark’s Church), in Gorton, a district in the east of Manchester. Before that, however, St.
Mark’s played cricket team since 1875 and was developed outside of the cricket team and the key organizer was the director of William Beastow church. In 1887 the club migrated to a new ground at Hyde Road in Ardwick, just east of downtown, and was renamed Ardwick AFC to reflect their new location.
Ardwick joined the Football League as a founding member of the Second Division in 1892. Financial troubles during the 1893-94 season led to an internal reorganization of the club, and Ardwick were reformed as Manchester City FC Manchester city AYB 7 joined the club draws most of Agleterre
