NK Hrvatski dragovoljac Zagreb is a Croatian football club in Novi Zagreb, a suburb of the capital Zagreb. The club was founded in 1975 as NK Trnsko 75 and a year later changed the name ONK Novi Zagreb and NK in 1990 in Novi Zagreb.
When the Croatian War of Independence began in 1991 offered many club members are to join the fight. In order to honor those who fell in battle was the club in 1994, when operations were resumed, renamed dragovoljac Hrvatski (Croatian volunteer). They also took a new logo and color black was the new club, as mourning symbol.
The club promoted in 1995 for the first class and the highest was in 1997/3 which allowed the club to the Intertoto participated, a fact that the club three years in a row passed with a fourth and sixth in the league.
After the competition of 16 was reduced to 12 clubs in 2002 relegated the club a long time and could not return a PhD.
In 2008 the club on the final day still in the lead, but then lost to Croatia Sesvete who makes off with the title went. Hrvatski still played the first division play-off against Inter Zaprešić, but lost. Only in 2010 the club promoted again.
