Grupo Desportivo de Chaves (Chaves GD) is a Portuguese football club Chaves. In 1985 the club played for the first time in the highest class and was sixth.
After a fifth place next season should the European club play and reached the second round. In 1990 again the fifth position, after two more top ten listings relegated the club in 1993.
After one season the club went back the following season but ended in the middle every time, fighting relegation, a struggle which in 1999 lost.
Chaves then ended but also moderate in the second division (Liga de Honra) before returning to the second tier wise. In 2005 the club just avoided relegation to third class.
