Alania Vladikavkaz FK is one of the famous football clubs in Russia. In 1990,Spartak-Alania Vladikavkaz and then Alania Vladikavkaz. Since its formation back in 2006 using the name of the current club.
After promotion to the Second Division club took the name Alania again. The club plays home games at the Spartak Stadium in Vladikavkaz, North Ossetia.
The most successful season was 1995 when the Russian champions, and thus the length of Spartak Moscow’s dominance of business.
After Valeri Gazzajev for CSKA Moscow have left and also some other players left the club, the club managed to not extend this success to emulate. In the season 2004/2005the club relegated in 2006, making them even there.
The club was revived in the south of Russia placed third grade. Meanwhile, the club was promoted back to second grade. In 2010 to replace the club FC Moscow (who withdrew due to financial problems) in League Premjer but degraded.
