Castrol is a British company engaged in the sale of Castrol lubricants and engine still makes part of the BP (British Petroleum), without losing its identity.
The company was founded in 1899 by Charles “Cheers” Wakefield). That’s the name of Castrol in 1909, refers to the castor oil, which is used to make lubricants.
In 1966, Castrol was bought by “British oil company Burmah,” whose name Burmah-Castrol. In 2000, Burmah-Castrol once again acquired by BP Amoco plc (nowBP plc). Lubricants Castrol continues to be the whole world now and, in many areas, the market leader. The company is active in motorsport, it provides fuel Red Bull Racing in Formula 1, it is also a partner of many teams on motorcycles (motocross and GP), in particular Suzuki.
