Carolco a large independent production company which produced the film series.Carolco was founded by two investors, Mario Kassar and Andrew Vajna, as Anabasis Investments. Their goal to create their new study.
One of the Anabasis / Carolco’s first film was First Blood (1982), followed by a sequel Rambo II: The Revenge (1985) (published the year when the company was renamed Carolco) with Sylvester Stallone (who shortly after signed a ten-year contract with the studio). Release of Rambo II: Revenge is so important to the financial success of Carolco that time, the music of a company logo using the first verse of the famous hit, written by Jerry Goldsmith.
