Football Club Barcelona (Catalan officially, Football Club Barcelona), is a multisport organization in the city of Barcelona, Spain.
It was founded as a football club the November 29, 1899 by twelve young amateur footballers, led by the Swiss Hans Gamper.
The F. C. Barcelona is popularly known as Barça (short for the pronunciation of’ Barcelona’ in Catalan central) and his followers as ‘Catalans’ (Home Fans Catalan pronunciation), also, with reference to their colors, we use the term “Barça” , which comes from the Catalan blaugranes, as shown in his hymn, the Cant of Barca, where in his second line says “the gent blaugrana Som” (in Castilian, “We are the people Barca”).
