Club Atletico Atlanta is Argentinian football club based in Villa Crespo neighborhood of Buenos Aires. Currently the team is in the Argentine third division (Primera B Metropolitana).
The club was founded October 12, 1904 in Buenos Aires. Sources say the club’s name comes from the earthquake that struck the U.S. city of Atlanta. The first president of the club was Elias Sanz.
Metropolitan Atlanta has won the league (Primera B – Metropolitano) in 1995, 1983 and 1956, with the league until 1986 was the second Argentinian, and after 1986 became the third league. Club also won the Copa Suecia in 1960.
