NK is a Croatian football club Varaždin Varaždin. The club was founded in 1931 as NK Slavija and played under this name until 1941. During the Second World War, the activity stopped.
After the war the club was refounded as NK Tekstilac. In 1958 the present name adopted Varteks is a clothing company from the city and since the name change sponsor of the club.
In 1938 the club played for the first time in the highest class of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia, the club relegated after one season. In 1961 Varteks took the final of the cup and lost from Vardar Skopje.

Since the independence of Croatia in 1991, the club plays continuously in the highest class. The titles made the club so far not got it but already some successes at the European area.
